61Do Social Networking Sites Belong on Your Resume ?
Where does privacy begin ?
Lets hear from all generations ! Do your Facebook , MySpace , Twitter or any of your social networking sites belong on your Resume ?
Facts are constantly changing concerning career changing , interview processes , resume creating etc . . .
Where does Privacy begin ....where does it end ? Should everyone now make their social networking sites career friendly ?
Should we now keep our text and email communications career friendly ?
Of course it would be easier to keep all of it career friendly if we had a clear idea of what that means . More than likely the more these Social Networking sites are included in Resumes , the clearer that protocal will be .
It comes really close to how teachers would handle note passing between students in class . Teachers would read notes to the class which was meant to embaress the students .It would embarrass why ? Because it was a private communication not for the entire class to hear .
So now instead of private communications being read by a Teacher . They are read by a Hiring Manager to decide whether your Personal Life is up to the Companies Specifications . Your of course not only responsibile for your information but the information of your social network , people you choose to interact with . So of course you Social Network should be up to hiring potential as well .
Fact is if this becomes common place and expected on resumes , leaving it off or blocking for privacy will need to be explained as well . You will be in an interview trying to calm your nerves while appearing cool calm and collected , Then explaining your lack of or lack of allowance into your Social Network LOL . Claim to not have a social network you look like a hermit . Explain its private .....look like your social site REALLY HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE .
What do you think .......... Common place on Resumes ......Or invasion of Privacy ?

Not sure I have an answer, but ones character is exposed one way or another.
